The lord of the rings is by JRR Tolkein. He wrote the book in 1945. It is a story about Frodo and a ring. He was a Hobbit and he saved the world. He had to take the ring and throw it into a mountain of fire. The baddies tried to stop him and his friends. But they were heroes and always killed the baddies. The best part of the book was at the end. Gollum wanted the ring. He tried to take it from Frodo. But he failed. He fell into the mountain of fire -with the ring, The world was saved. It was the best book i have ever read.
